BEIJING, June 26 (APP): Chinese Defence Minister Liang Guanglie met here Friday with Pakistan’s Chief of Air Staff Rao Qamar Suleman vowing to further strengthen the traditional friendship. “China and Pakistan share a comprehensive traditional friendship, “said Liang, adding China appreciated Pakistan’s strong support on issues concerning China’s core interests.
Given the new situation, the China-Pakistan Strategic Cooperative Partnership should be increasingly cherished, Liang said.
He also hoped the bilateral ties could move forward in a sustained, healthy and stable way, the Xinhua news reported.
Liang said he was satisfied with the development of bilateral military ties because the two armed forces had frequent senior level visits, and had conducted fruitful cooperation in the areas of personnel training, joint military exercises and counter-terrorism.
“China is ready to work with Pakistan to enhance military exchanges and cooperation,” he said.
The Chief of Air Staff Rao Suleman said Pakistan valued the traditional friendly and cooperative relations with China.
He said that Pakistan was willing to work with China to boost bilateral cooperation in various fields.
