BEIJING, May 14 (APP): China will provide US $ one million in emergency humanitarian aid to Pakistan to help thousands of civilians displaced in a military action against militants. Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu said on Thursday that China took note of Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani’s appeal for international aid to help civilians displaced by the conflict in the country’s northwest frontier province.
“As a friendly neighbour, China pays close attention to the domestic situation of Pakistan,” Ma said, adding the country will offer 1 million U.S. dollars for emergency humanitarian aid to help with the displaced people.
